In partnership with MetaStar's WHITEC  division, we are able to offer physician practices focused technical assistance with electronically submitting adult immunization data to the Wisconsin Immunization Registry  (WIR). This will allow you to streamline reporting processes, improve population health and meet the immunization data submission measure for meaningful use. Wisconsin is one of two states selected for this special project, and best practices and lessons learned will be shared with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other providers across the nation.

There is no cost to participate and MetaStar will help you:

• Work with your EHR vendor to set up an interface with WIR
• Meet the electronic immunization data submission requirement for Meaningful Use 
• Streamline reporting processes to ultimately save you time and money
• Use your EHR to improve adult immunization rates

Activities

• Use standardized documentation and report quarterly adult immunization data when available
• Participate in the implementation and testing of the interface with the registry
• Apply quality improvement methods to improve adult immunization rates
• Share best practices with health care providers and with MetaStar/WHITEC
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve health outcomes in your community

Who Can Participate

Any Wisconsin practice that provides adult immunizations, is already using an EHR, and would like assistance with either of the following:

• submitting a batch file of immunization data to WIR
• setting up an interface to automate the submission of immunization data to WIR
