Voicing Your Concerns, Getting Answers
As the Wisconsin Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), MetaStar partners with health care providers and Medicare beneficiaries to improve and ensure the quality of care received. Our goals are achieving:
- Safer care for people with Medicare
- Improved health for the people we serve
- Lower health care costs that benefit everyone
MetaStar can assist Medicare beneficiaries to:
- File a complaint about the quality of health care you have received in the past or are undergoing now
- Appeal a decision to send you home from a hospital when you feel you should continue to stay there
- Appeal a decision to end a course of treatment (such as rehabilitation, nursing home, home health, or hospice care) when you feel you still need those services
Take an active role in your health care:
- Access Medicare coverage and policies - browse the Medicare website
or simply call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or TTY/TTD 1-877-486-2048 for those with hearing or speach impairments
